Boarding October 3, 2024
UCC boarders joined BSS to have a lovely (and almost Victorian!) afternoon of lawn games and a barbecue. Students played frisbee, ladder toss, and other games whilst enjoying the last of the September sun, before enjoying a game of basketball in the Lett gym and a barbecue.
On Saturday afternoon, the excitement reached its peak as we embarked on an unforgettable adventure to watch the Blue Jays in action from a suite in the Rogers Centre for a charity event for Kids Help Phone. The cheers, the competition and the joy of witnessing our home team's triumphs up close left us all in awe. It was a night to remember for the twenty-five boarders who attended. Each boarder also received a complimentary hat and scarf at the event, a memento to remember the occasion.
UCC boarders joined UCC faculty, families and peers at the Tomorrow Will Be Better event, hosted by UCC students, Chisom Ochuba (Class of 2025) and Jack Rogers (Class of 2025). Tomorrow Will Be Better raises awareness for youth mental health, and all proceeds from the event were donated to Kids Help Phone to help adolescents access important resources and services.
