The CAIS U13 National Championship is happening this week at UCC. From today to Saturday, the fields Prep East, Prep West, Commons and the Oval will be full of energy to host the games between schools. Click here to see the schedule.

This coming weekend 14 UCC students will be traveling to Cambridge, Massachusetts to compete in the 2024 Head of the Charles Regatta.  

The Head of the Charles Regatta will see over 830 boats and over 2600 athletes compete on the Charles River. UCC Rowing will be competing in two events.

Competing in the Men’s Youth Four event against 89 other boats are James Banquier (Class of 2027), Benedict Wang (Class of 2025), Simon DeLuca (Class of 2025), Henry DeLuca (Class of 2025) and Wyatt Porter (Class of 2026).

Competing in the Men’s Youth Eight event against 89 other boats are Bob Liu (Class of 2026), Ethan Tremain-Calhoun (Class of 2025), Ethan Liu (Class of 2027), Dean Trojniak (Class of 2026), Jack Zambonini (Class of 2026), Leo Pikul (Class of 2026), Ethan Frei (Class of 2026), AJ Edwards (Class of 2026) and Liam Glover (Class of 2026).

Both boats will be competing on Sunday, Oct. 20. The Youth Eight event (Bow 68) is scheduled to begin at 11:13 a.m., the Youth Four event (Bow 40) is scheduled to begin at 12:04 p.m.

The event is a race against the clock where all boats will start in numerical order approximately 15 seconds apart to complete the 4,800 m course.
