Financial Assistance applications for the 2025â26 academic year will once again be processed by Financial Aid for Canadian Students (FACS). This third-party service provides an independent assessment of the application and makes confidential recommendations directly to the Collegeâs Financial Assistance review committee. Awards are made to eligible families on the basis of assessed need and may vary from year to year. You can complete the application online at Apple Financial Services. The application fee is $137.50.
Current families must apply or reapply by the Nov. 15 deadline so the College can ensure that all returning student applications are assessed and decisions made prior to a re-registration decision is required early in 2025.
The Collegeâs finance office has included current data in an at-a-glance table to help day families determine whether or not they may qualify for Financial Assistance. This table, along with the âFrequently Asked Questionsâ section around the application process, is available on the Financial Assistance page of the UCC website. Thereâs some very helpful guidance material on the FACS site as well.
Sincerely,
Colleen Papulkas

Please join us for our Fall Open House at the Norval Outdoor School on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 1 to 3 p.m.Â
Come enjoy an outdoor getaway with friends and family! Fall at Norval is a time of beautiful colours and lots of evidence of wildlife as most animals are preparing for winter.Â
UCC community members are welcome to come and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. Visit our apple orchard and make fresh apple cider, enjoying a fall hike with a scavenger hunt, help us with some tree planting and check out our pumpkin painting station. Stephen House will be open with food and refreshments available.Â
Dogs on a leash are welcome (but must stay outside of Stephen House).
Please click here to register or email Amanda Vieira-Hasz in the Association Office or call 416-488-1125 ext. 2294.
Directions to Norval: Take Highway 401 west to Winston Churchill Boulevard. Follow Winston Churchill Boulevard north and go through the village of Norval. Continue straight ahead. The entrance to the Norval property is on your left, 1.2 kilometres north of the village stoplight. The drive takes about 50 minutes from UCC in light traffic.
Dear UCC Community,
The nomination period for two of the Collegeâs highest honours closes on Wednesday, Oct. 30, and I hope youâll consider nominating one or more extraordinary community members for these awards.Â
Information regarding the nomination process and deadlines for the John D. Stevenson Award and Old Boy of Distinction Award are available on our website.
Thank you in advance for nominating your fellow UCC community members and helping the College recognize the profound impact of our volunteers and alumni!
Sincerely,
