Boarding Community Weekend 

The second UCC (Unplug, Connect, Contribute) Boarding Community Weekend was filled with meaningful activities and memorable events for our boarding community. The weekend kicked off with the community splitting into four groups for various volunteering efforts. Students worked diligently at the Salvation Army, sorting 4,000 pounds of food and 1,500 toys, while others supported the “Feed Scarborough” initiative, Horizons program, and the campus housekeeping team, recognizing their invaluable contributions. Organizers praised our students for their diligence, efficiency, and hard work, highlighting the power of giving back as a united community.

The energy carried into the highly anticipated RAO Cup dodgeball competition, where Wedd’s claimed victory with a spirited display of teamwork and athleticism.

On Sunday, the excitement continued with a creative egg drop competition, organized by our students, showcasing their innovation and problem-solving skills. The weekend concluded with a thrilling campus-wide laser tag event, bringing everyone together for a final round of friendly competition and laughter.

This weekend truly embodied our community’s values of service, connection, and camaraderie. A heartfelt thank-you to all staff, students, and families for their support in making our boarding community such a vibrant and special place to learn and live.
