March 28 — Loyola Marymount University Room 128 at 1:30 p.m.
At U of T, residence is guaranteed for all new full-time students entering their first year of a postsecondary program for the first time, provided that they have indicated their interest in residence by completing the StarRez Portal application by March 31, and receive and accept an offer of admission by June 2.
If a student misses the March 31 deadline, they can still apply to be on the waitlist but it is important to know that they are unlikely to get a place.
Students interested in living in residence at U of T next year should complete this form regardless of whether or not they have already received an offer of admission. There's no cost to completing the form and it is not a commitment, instead, it is an expression of interest. Students should explore the website and speak with their counsellor for more information.
Note: An offer of admission to U of T is not required to apply for residence by March 31. You will not be obligated to attend U of T, live in residence, or pay a deposit if you apply by the March 31 deadline. Deposits will only be required if you receive and accept a residence offer in May through August.
Year 12 students who are considering offers from various Ontario universities may wish to investigate their choices further by attending Open Houses over the coming months. Year 11 students may also take advantage of these events to evaluate the schools they may be applying to next year.
See here for the upcoming tours, events and registration details from a selection of Ontario's universities.
Current Year 11 students: Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs
Students who are currently in Year 11, who are Canadian citizens and are involved in co-curricular and community service activities, display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, demonstrate desire and ability to be entrepreneurial in a chosen field and have critical financial need ($65,000 or less annual net income per family is required) are encouraged to explore the Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs.
Applications are now open and are due on Monday, March 31. Interested students should review the website for more information and speak with their university counsellor.
