Boarding February 27, 2025
Here are the highlights from our last boarding community weekend of the year—a time filled with adventure, friendly competition, and plenty of opportunities to connect!
Students kicked off the weekend on Saturday with an exciting array of off-campus activities. Whether it was combat archery, Activate, the escape room challenge, or trying their hand at indoor karting and rock climbing, everyone found something that sparked joy and teamwork. Later in the day, we gathered for a lively social dinner that brought together students from Branksome Hall and BSS. With the fun "country vs. country club" theme setting the stage, guests participated in icebreaker games like Heads Up and Two Truths and a Lie. The event blossomed into a fantastic evening of new friendships and reunions, leaving everyone buzzing with excitement!
Sunday began with a fiery hot wing challenge where students dared to test their limits against an array of hot sauces. A special congratulations goes out to Chisom, who earned the title by bravely devouring eight wings at the spiciest level! Next up was the RAO Cup Spelling Bee. The competition was fierce, but Wedd's team emerged victorious, especially when Alston wowed everyone by spelling the bonus round's longest word, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." The weekend wrapped up with a fun-filled game of Mafia before our house meeting, ensuring that the spirit of camaraderie continued right through to the end.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this weekend a memorable celebration of community and connection. We look forward to more adventures and opportunities to come together!
