The Head of the Prep School, Sarah Fleming, recently shared with the Prep community that she is expecting and is due to welcome a baby in November. To support her parental leave, Dr. Julia Kinnear has been appointed interim head of the Prep school where she will join David Girard and Gareth Evans to form the Prep leadership team. Dr. Kinnear will continue to serve key aspects of her academic dean role, and a thoughtful transition plan is being developed to ensure a seamless transition for students and families and that exceptional learning and wellbeing will continue in the Prep. Kathryn Barnes, executive director of the Wernham West Centre for Learning, will take on the additional role of associate academic dean this year, providing leadership to the team of IB coordinators across the whole school and on academic operational matters at the Upper School. Congratulations Ms. Fleming, and welcome Dr. Kinnear and Ms. Barnes to their new roles!
As we welcome our UCC community back to school, we would like to share some important information from Toronto Public Health.
Thank you for your ongoing support to keep our students and school community healthy. For any additional information, please email health.centre@ucc.on.ca.
