Consultations and services at the Student Health doctor and nurse are usually free but there are charges for some of the services offered.
The UCC student health service is complementary to the services of a student's own General Practitioner (GP) and a student's other healthcare providers.
All students are strongly advised to register or have access to the services of a GP in proximity to the address they live in whilst at university.
GPs are family doctors. They treat all common medical conditions and is usually the first doctor you will see about non-emergency illnesses and health issues.

In the evenings and at weekends, a voice recording on the student health telephone line (021) 4902311 will direct callers to the appropriate out-of-hours services for assistance.
At all times 24/7, 365/365 the telephone number for students to call when looking for health advice or attention is 021 4902311, where they will either be directed to the appropriate out-of-hours number or attended to by the Student Health Doctor on Duty.
