Program Educational Objectives

Three to Five years after graduation the Electrical Engineering graduates shall:

• Engage in the productive practice of electrical engineering to identify and solve significant problems across a broad range of application areas.

• Enhance their intellectual development and technical skills through life-long learning process such as graduate programs and various technical training and seminars.

• Play a part in delivering services to the society through a combination of technical expertise, social responsibility and leadership.

Student Outcomes

• An Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, physical life and information sciences; and engineering sciences appropriate to the field of practice

• An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.

• An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within identifies constraints

• An ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.

• An ability to recognize, formulate and solve engineering problems.

• Recognition of professional, social and ethical responsibility.

• An ability to effectively communicate orally and writing using the English language.

• An understanding of the effects of engineering solutions in a comprehensive context.

• An ability to engage in life-long learning and an understanding of the need top keep current of the developments in the specific field of practice.

• A knowledge of contemporary issues 

• An ability to use techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering management principles as a member and/or leader in a team to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments.
