· What is your favorite kind of music? What instruments are used in your favorite kind of music? Does your favorite music have a lot of rhythm? What is the answer to the Social Studies question. Do you know all the artist shown? Who is your favorite Belizean artist?

· Sketch – rough or unfinished drawing use to develop an idea
· Percussion – musical instruments that are hit
Create a program following directions provided in the link below:
1. Sketch a percussion section in your design journal with at least five percussion instruments
2. Find sprites in the Scratch sprite library that represent the percussion instruments you sketched (they do not have to be the actual instruments)
a. Add the sprites you chose to your project
b. Add a cool backdrop for your project
3. Add a sound to each of the “instruments” you chose
4. Put a loop on the sounds you chose so that when the user clicks the sprite the sound repeats
5. Try it for yourself, and make any changes you want to make your project better
a. Play with the timing to try to keep all the percussion in tempo
b. Play with the order of sprites you click to see what sounds better
6. Share your project, add the title “Beats”, and add detailed instructions for your users
7. Answer the Wrap-up Questions in your journal
