In this session, you will sketch the look and feel of your game in your design journal. You will also use pseudocode to map out how you game programming works.
· Students can sketch and describe their game design including gameplay, extensions and instructions
· Students will sketch the user interface for their game
· Students will write down the gameplay mechanics and instructions for their game
· Review the extensions that you chose for your game last session
1. Sketch out what your game will look like in your design journal
2. Describe each step of your gameplay using pseudocode
3. Write out detailed instructions to the user so they can know how to play your game
4. Remember to check the Game Challenge Rubric to make sure you have everything you need to get all your points
· Describe the objective of the game (how do you win?) and then list all of the game elements and extensions you are using in your game
· Visit the Scratch Game Studio http://scratch.mit.edu/studios/487504 to see what other games kids are creating
· Why would you want to play your game? What would you add to make it better?
