Strengthening education, research and innovation for climate-smart crops in India
From the Desk of Project Head
AdaptNET is a capacity building project supported by Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission under Erasmus+ initiative with the project. This project was started in November 2018 for three years. The main objective of AdaptNET project is to bring together higher education institutions in India and Europe, sharing the common aim of reducing climate change impact on agriculture and developing climate-smart crops. This project is supporting financially the mobility of 30 Indian scientists/researchers and 16 students to visit, share and learn different aspects of climatic smart agriculture in higher education/research institutes of Italy and Greece. During Jan-Feb, 2020 ten selected UAS Dharwad faculty were trained through four specially designed workshops.
