This is Ms. Swavely's fourth year teaching at Audenried, and seventh year teaching in urban education. She moved to Philadelphia to attend Tyler School of Art right after high school and fell in love with the city. When she graduated from art school as a photography major, she realized she did not like wedding photography. Although she found herself excelling in a customer service job, she wasn't passionate about it, and left her feeling unfulfilled. That is when she decided to go back to school to earn her master's degree in secondary education from Saint Joseph's University. Ms. Swavely got involved with the Students Run Philly Style this past spring after her 12 year old soul dog died, and is now the new long distance running coach at Audenried. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading books, watching movies, traveling, and hiking.
