About me
Hello, this is my 8th year teaching at Universal Audenreid Charter High School. I have been teaching for about 20 years. I have taught mostly middle and high school \students. I enjoy meeting and helping young minds. I truly believe every student has the ability to learn and achieve their goals through perseverance and dedication. Also, I think creativity is the driving point to success. So DREAM, IMAGINE, and FLY....

Welcome to the 25-26 school year at Audenried Charter High School, and welcome to the Student Practice and Academic Resource Course (SPAARC).
Course Overview
Description of Course: This is a resource room that provides separate, specialized instruction, academic remediation and assistance with homework and related assignments. Students will use this class for progress monitoring, extra time to complete assignments, tests, homework help, and social emotional growth. Math and Reading remediation will be given through IXL program, which is a research based intervention program.
Course Work for all quarters mainly involves:
Progress Monitoring based on individual student goals and needs
Grade/Work Audit and help for all General Education classes
Reading and/or Math mini lessons based on needed skills
Small group testing
Quarter Exam completion
Project completion from other classes
Homework help
Extended time for assignments from other classes
Small group instruction
Organizational and career skill practice
IXL lessons & games.
Extended time for CTE assignments

Grading Scale:
30% - Assessments ( progress monitoring grade)
20% - Student work: classwork, homework, exit tickets (daily)
50% - Participation (daily)
No Final Exams for this course!!!!!
Citizenship/Participation
Participation in all class activities and lectures is expected and required. Regular and consistent attendance and participation in all class activities and discussions are behavioral expectations in this class.
O (Outstanding) - student’s performance in class has a positive influence on the class.
S (Satisfactory) - student adheres to the rules and procedures of the class.
N (Needs Improvement) - student’s behavior is disruptive to the class.
Classroom Rules
1. Bully will automatically lead to a level 3 referral
2. Scholars should always be actively working from bell to bell
3. Scholars must come prepared with any assignment they need extended time to work on in their Gen. Ed. classes, and/or assignments they need to make up.
4. No scholar is permitted to leave the classroom to obtain missing assignments. They are responsible for asking their teachers for work during scheduled class time with the teacher, or afterschool.
