The WCCDS:
Supports the research activities and knowledge mobilization initiatives of WCCDS members, including the faculty’s Canada Research Chair in Deaf Education and the David Peikoff Endowed Chair in Deaf Studies.
Provides research mentoring opportunities to Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing undergraduate and graduate students within and beyond the university community.
Provides leadership, liaison and consultative assistance in the development of programs and services that promote community capacity building and access to equity, accessibility and opportunity for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals locally, nationally and internationally.
Provides leadership, liaison and consultative assistance in outreach, community engagement and knowledge mobilization initiatives that support community capacity building and equitable opportunity for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals.
Conducts contracted research.
