What are the main activities of the Western Canadian Centre for Deaf Studies?
Support the research activities and knowledge mobilization initiatives of WCCDS members, including the faculty’s Canada Research Chair in Deaf Education and the David Peikoff Endowed Chair in Deaf Studies.
Provide research mentoring opportunities to deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing undergraduate and graduate students within and beyond the university community.
Provide leadership, liaison, and consultative assistance in the development of programs and services that promote community capacity building and access to equity, accessibility, and opportunity for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals locally, nationally, and internationally.
Provide leadership, liaison, and consultative assistance in outreach, community engagement, and knowledge mobilization initiatives that support community capacity building and equitable opportunity for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals.
Conduct contracted research.
