Relational (im)Probabilities

Chronic illness precipitates a daily erosion of the essence of our humanity. Numbers and diagnoses build up a picture of an individual which eclipses and refocuses their past. What if we were to seek out the essence of human-ness shared by every member of the hospital? To take a moment to celebrate the vivid personalities, the diverse culture and vibrant fibre and character of the patients and staff who traverse the medical system. This set of pies, each with different cultural heritage, flavour and identity, represents the people. The person behind a face of illness, the person behind the mop and broom, the person behind the stethoscope: the people who are the medical system.
