Our group came together and explored insights inspired through our Patient Immersion Experience. Common themes included: 1) the concept of invisible illness and the conflict between public perception and personal experience, 2) stigma and isolation, 3) resiliency, 4) challenging interactions with healthcare professionals. Our key theme focused around invisible or hidden illness. For this reason, we chose to create a “pop-up” book displaying average individuals with underlying chronic illnesses.
