Retired mother of five and grandmother of one with passions for interior design, volunteering, cooking, and holding parties. Hosted five families, for periods from four days to four months, all while hosting community gatherings, helping Ukrainian newcomers settle into new, more permanent homes, and coordinating donations of housewares and other goods.

Young married woman with three kids and full-time job. Hosted four Ukrainian families during late 2022-2023, helped to settle down and build newcomers’ life from scratch. Answering the question why she decided to host Ukraininan newcomers, Teresa said: “I wanted to teach my kids that the world was still a good place. And that there is kindness, even when… there's war and other things. There's still very good people in the world who want to make the world a better place.”
