Requirements

Thoughtful daily practice is crucial to your learning and success.

In addition to attending lessons and weekly studio classes you will also attend the recitals of your colleagues and those of other visiting saxophonists.

First and second year students are expected to perform once per year in addition to your juried performance at the end of each semester.

Third and fourth year performance majors are expected to give a recital.

It is highly encouraged that you participate in some chamber music activity.

You will need a passion for learning not only how to play the saxophone but how to be an artist.
