Reducing the Resistance Between Students and Industry.
As a Second Year Electrical Engineering student, I understand how stressful and intimidating networking events can be. I want to work towards:
Smaller, Low-Pressure Networking Mixers: These will focus more specifically on EE students and students in related disciplines, with smaller crowds and more intimate networking.
Internship Prep Night: These nights will help students, especially second and third years, to prepare for writing resumes, succeeding in interviews, and being confident in themselves.
Stronger Industry Partnerships: Focus on companies that hire EE students and long-term sponsorship partnerships.
