S.K.I.P. Lab

Supporting Kids Inclusion & Participation

Purpose

The S.K.I.P. Lab is housed within the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada. Research from our lab is aimed at supporting inclusion, participation and belonging of autistic children, youth and young adults, and people who experience other neurodevelopmental, intellectual and/or developmental conditions and their families in meaningful activities and life choices. Much of the research that occurs within the S.K.I.P. Lab occurs within the contexts of daily life, such as communities, homes, schools, and workplaces. We embrace a neurodiversity-affirming culture in the lab and in our research.
