Alberta Provincial Surveillance Program for Moderate to Severe Neonatal Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE)
Alberta Provincial Surveillance Program for Moderate to Severe Neonatal Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE)
This project has received $950,000 over 3 years from the Calgary Health Trust Fund. This implementation program will provide structured feedback and education to care providers to decrease the incidence of intrapartum term stillbirth and (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy) HIE and standardize perinatal care. Our long-term goal is to reduce by 50% the combined outcome of intrapartum stillbirth or delivery of a neonate with moderate to severe encephalopathy for all singleton births ≥35 weeks’ gestation without a diagnosis of congenital anomaly.
