PRCSC Mascot
Meet Giuseppe! He’s the paper mache mascot for the PRCSC this year. He’s a new student at the UofA and is really eggscited to get everyone hyped up for poultry. In his spare time, you can find Giuseppe watching chick flicks with friends or crossing roads to get to the other side. If you see him around, make sure to say hi!

I am currently in my third year of my BSc in Animal Health with hopes of getting into vet school. I always swore up and down that I would never be a livestock person, until I met other livestock people; with such a welcoming and nurturing community I knew this was something I wanted to explore! In my spare time I like to read about canine behaviour and enrichment, and spend time with my border collie cross, Bo, and my rescue keeshond, Rocco. Joining clubs can definitely be scary, but you won’t find a more egg-cited and embracing group than poultry people!
Vice President
I am a 4th year in the Animal Health program and a recent chicken enthusiast 🐔. I'm obsessed with German Shepherds (pictured is my rescue girl Kona) and I am starting to switch metaphorical teams from small animal to food/large animal after learning more at the UofA! In my non-existent spare time you can find me working at GP and Emerg clinics, volunteering with the Canadian Animal Task Force, playing guitar, or camping! I am super excited to get this club up and running with a fantastic group of people. If you have any questions about the club, classes, or anything in general please reach out to me; I love to chat!
VP Administration
I’m Martin and I am a second year student working towards my BSc in Animal Health. My role in PRCSC this year is VP Administration. This is my first time being involved in an extracurricular club at the U of A so I am eager to help get the PRCSC running again! I encourage you all to join the PRCSC- we are all very friendly! Although I am a dog person, this kitten definitely made me question myself. I cannot think of any chicken puns, so I am going to have to brainstorm a bit cluckin’ harder apparently 🐔.

I’m so excited for the reboot of the PRCSC! I am in my 4th year of the Animal Health program and have my eyes on vet school. I think it’s so important for our generation to get involved in the community, and that’s why I joined this club, myself. I am a sucker for all things animal, so outside of school you can often find me working or volunteering with them. Otherwise, Netflix is my friend and if I’m eating something it’s probably chicken nuggets ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think we can all have an egg-celent time learning about and bonding over our worship of the almighty chicken (although truthfully I love all birds equally). I also have a budding passion for exotic pets, particularly reptiles! Outside of school, I like to play with my dogs and cats and my bearded dragon, Stan. I also love movies and am always looking for suggestions of new things to watch, so send those film recommendations my way, please!
VP Events
I’m so excited to get the Poultry Club up and running this year with all the help of our other exec members! I know this club is going to be so fun and egg-citing, especially if you love poultry as much as everyone else in this club does! As your VP of Events, I’m always thinking outside of the box to bring as many egg-xtra memorable experiences to all the members as possible, especially with our current global situation right now. In my spare time, I love to rock-climb and hike, as well as bake! Of course, my love of animals brought me to this club, and I hope that love will bring you here too!
