“Communication for Connection”, highlights communication as a means of building relationships, fostering social participation, and supporting meaningful connections with others. Through a variety of speakers across settings and client populations, we aim to provide attendees with valuable insights into how SLPs can support clients to connect with family, friends, and their community, while learning about each speaker’s unique knowledge and expertise.

The University of Alberta, its buildings, labs, and research stations are primarily located on the traditional territory of Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, and Ojibway/Saulteaux/Anishinaabe nations; lands that are now known as part of Treaties 6, 7, and 8 and homeland of the Métis.
