When a patient is struggling with a mental illness, life becomes chaotic. How does one take the appropriate steps to navigate through the resources in our system to find the people whom can help to regain control in life once again? Our work is an audiovisual virtual project that takes us through the journey of a patient struggling with major depressive disorder, who comes to regain control of their life through the steps and supports they find to help manage their illness. We hope that the imagery, as it transitions from darkness to bright and blurriness to contrast, integrates with the accompanying audio as it gradually resolves from chaos to clarity to convey a message of hopefulness, possibility, and gradual transition as a patient recognizes and draws upon their support systems.
