Illness is a powerful thing. It can shatter everything you knew about yourself and everything you knew about the world, but this doesn't mean that you can never be whole again. Our artwork depicts this theme through string art butterflies, connected to one another by the abstract illness cocoon. You'll notice that the butterflies are indeed the same butterfly, yet its colours and patterns have changed. Chronic illness is devastating and can change a person, but with strength, resilience, and support, they can redefine their path to become whole once again.
