Students enrolled in the certificate programs are considered part-time graduate students.
Students admitted into the Sport and Recreation Management Certificate or Adapted Physical Ability certificates MUST register in a minimum of 3 credits (1 course) in the admitting term.
If you are unable to take 3 credits (1 course) in the admitting term, or you are not interested in the course that is being offered during your admit term, then a deferral to the start date must be requested. Students can only defer their start date, one time, for up to ONE YEAR.
After the admit term, students are not required to register in a course every term but must register in a minimum of 3 credits (1 course) each academic year (ex: can register in 3 credits (1 course) in Fall term or 3 credits (1 course) in Winter term, or 3 credits (1 course) in Spring term).
So in summary, you must register in a minimum of 3 credits (1 course) in your admit term and then a minimum of 3 credits (1 course) during each academic year going forward.
