I'm a Professor, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, and I hold a Henry Marshall Tory Chair in the Department of English and Film Studies at the University of Alberta. My major areas of research are auto/biography, life writing and nonfiction in North America, popular culture, and literature in Canada. I have other interests in book history and publishing, as well as online forms of identity construction, gender and sexuality theory, cultural materialist theory, mountaineering writing and autobiographical comics. I am committed to researching what not-so ordinary people think, do and write about their lives.
The first learning resource about auto/biography and life writing in Canada is here! Get the paper copy or the ebook directly from Routledge.
