Conference sessions will be held in the University Commons building.
There are multiple entrances to University Commons with no stairs that have automatic door buttons. The entrances closest to the LRT station are the ones at the front of the building and facing the Rutherford Library.
All sessions will be held on the ground floor.
Note: University Commons is locked on Saturday, March 28. Please bring your OneCard to access the building at the South entrance to SAB.
There are gendered washrooms with stalls on either side of the atrium. There are accessible stalls (larger space, grab bars behind and to the left of toilets, outward-swinging stall doors) in these washrooms.
There are also two accessible all-gender single-stall washrooms on the north side of the atrium. There are automatic door buttons to open and to lock these washrooms. Both all-gender washrooms have change tables in them.
The atrium is an open space in the centre of University Commons. It has a flat floor and is near to the washrooms and a small kitchen with vending machines and a microwave.
This is an open space, so you may hear other people using University Commons moving past or talking in the background while you are in sessions.
This is an enclosed room with a combination of bench-style seating and chairs with backs. There is no automatic door button for the entrance to this room, so it will be left open before and after sessions. It will be closed during sessions.
When you arrive at University Commons, you may notice signs directing you to our conference locations.
You will sign in at the registration table before going to your sessions.
If you indicated that you will be attending online, you will be sent the Zoom link close to the conference date.
If you did not indicate during registration that you will attend virtually, but your circumstances have changed and you now need to attend virtually, please contact Navarra at houldin@ualberta.ca.
