Registration FAQs

Bear Tracks says that the section I want to register in is full. What can I do?

Your best bet is to register for another section or to email Chemistry Undergraduate Services to ask if a wait-list has been started (note: this is different than a BearTracks watch-list, which can only notify you if spaces open but cannot tell you if there are other people on a wait-list).

The section sizes are physically limited by the number of workstations available in the laboratories, which means that we cannot arbitrarily add more students to a section.

I tried using Bear Tracks today and it said that web registration is closed for the course even though the official Term Registration Deadline has not passed. Why is this and how can I make changes to my registration after web registration has ceased?

Bear Tracks web registration closes early because lab classes begin before the official Term Registration Deadline (see the current U of A calendar) has passed. As stated on Bear Tracks and the official Class Schedule, after web registration has closed, you must go to CCIS L1-001A and talk to the Laboratory Coordinator to make further changes to your registration. Please note that the Laboratory Coordinator cannot make registration changes until web registration has closed.

Why is my lab room listed as "TBA" on Bear Tracks and how can I find out where my lab will be held?

Your lab room will be assigned after Bear Tracks registration closes. Please see eClass for more details.
