Shan is a graduate student in Applied Mathematics at the University of Alberta, working under the supervision of Dr. Hao Wang and Dr. Mark Lewis. His research focuses on tipping points in dynamical systems, exploring both their underlying mechanisms and real-world applications.

You can find him hiking or reading sci-fi fiction in his spare time.
