Research Interest:
My broader research interests lie in computer vision, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and time series analysis. I’m passionate about leveraging AI to solve real-world problems, especially those with environmental and social impact.
I’m an undergraduate student in the Computing Science Honors program at the University of Alberta. At ILMEE, I’m currently working under the supervision of Dr. Hao Wang, Dr. Esha Saha, and Amit Chakraborty on applying deep learning and computer vision techniques to forecast wildfire spread across Canada using geo-spatial satellite data. I’ve also worked on modeling historical disease dynamics using sparse regression techniques.
Outside of ILMEE, I’ve contributed to machine learning applications in diverse global contexts, from developing a fruit ripeness detection system using image-based models for Olam Palm in Gabon, Africa, to designing graph neural networks that enhance construction modeling workflows at PCL Construction.
In my spare time, I enjoy sketching, reading, cooking, practicing French, and playing badminton.
