Research Interest:

Jacob is a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics, supervised by Dr. Hao Wang. His research applies mathematical and statistical tools to socio-ecological systems, with an emphasis on environmental tipping points, mechanistic modelling, causal inference, and methods for building AI/ML tools that are safe and robust.

Outside the lab, he drinks more coffee and tea than is strictly necessary, and spends his free time at the climbing gym or with his partner and two cats.
