Dr. Fernando Saldaña García received his PhD degree from CIMAT (Mexico), and has been a postdoc in UNAM (Mexico) and Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (Spain). He will start the postdoc position at ILMEE under Prof. Hao Wang's supervision in August 2024. He will work on biodegradation experiments, parameter estimation, and optimal control modelling, as well as lead mathematical epidemiology in ILMEE.
