Hello! My name is Zoey, and I’m a 4th year Chemistry major with a minor in Bioinformatics. I first became interested in chemistry because of the fascinating reactions happening all around us, but over time I developed a deeper passion for quantum mechanics. I’m currently conducting research in physical chemistry, which can be challenging at times, but I enjoy pursuing my interests and pushing myself further in my academic journey.

Outside of chemistry, I like to go gym, pilates, painting and COFFEE☕!

Hi everyone, my name is Anna, and I’m a fourth-year honours chemistry student with a minor in mathematics. During my studies I’ve done research in inorganic (weird molecules) and computational chemistry, and I’m currently doing my final year project in a solid-state chemistry lab. I enjoy applying my background in mathematics to concepts in chemistry, which is why I believe it can be approached from different angles. 

Outside of school, I love knitting, crocheting, and painting. 

Hi everyone, my name is Jovin, and I'm a third-year Biological Sciences major with a minor in Psychology. I have experience teaching and tutoring various science and non-science courses over the last few years, and I have really enjoyed seeing students succeed! My favourite part about chemistry is how you don't need to memorize everything. Once your fundamental knowledge is solid, you can apply what you know to all kinds of situations and reactions! I know from experience that Chemistry can seem daunting at times, but my goal is to help students build their skills and confidence in general and organic chemistry. Outside of school, I love running, playing soccer and travelling. 

Hello! My name is Veesha. I am currently a fourth-year student studying Honours Chemistry with a minor in mathematics. My favourite thing about chemistry is how, with a little background knowledge, you can logic-puzzle your way out of almost any problem. I am currently conducting research in inorganic chemistry. I love being able to see the future applications chemistry has for so many issues. 

When not in the lab, you can usually find me on the sidelines of UofA football games as part of the cheer team, or curled up somewhere with a good fantasy novel.

Hello everyone! My name is William, and I'm starting my third year here at the UofA. My goal this semester is to make organic chemistry as intuitive as possible for everyone, whether that be through Diels-Alder stereo- and regiochemistry shortcuts, chair flips in seconds, or my favourite "v" trick for predicting condensation products (it's super easy, I promise!), amongst others. If I can inspire even just one student to burgeon in OChem, then I think that would be a job well done.

Hey everyone, my name is Logan. I am currently in my final year of my Bachelor of Science in both Chemistry and Cell Bio. I initially struggled in Chemistry through high school and into university, and I didn't even consider it until I had some awesome teachers who taught me that with the right help and guidance, it's possible to excel. I also work with the Chemistry Students Association Tutoring, running workshops that give students a smaller space to work on problems and meet fellow students. Outside of Chem, I play many recreational sports, from hockey to softball. I am an avid skier and love to go to the mountains whenever to get away. I can't wait to help out however I can!

Since a young age I have found chemistry fascinating, as it helps us explain and understand how materials function and interact in the real world. I have a true passion for teaching and really like to see students succeed! I am a firm believer that, with enough effort and resilience, you can ace any subject, no matter how hard or intimidating it may seem.
