Giving to the Repair Café
Our events are free to attend, but we still incur several costs associated with hosting our Repair Café events. Therefore, a cash donation to help keep our events stocked and machines serviced is most appreciated.
We also accept in-kind donations
In the spirit of sustainability and reuse, the Clothing Repair Cafe prefers to offer tools and supplies that are on their second life. We accept donations of sewing tools and supplies of all kinds (but we do not accept clothing).
Donations of fabrics, threads & various sewing notions can be dropped off in the entrance of the Human Ecology Building
(corner of 116 St and 89 Ave NW) during the following hours:
September - May: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
June - August: Tuesday & Wednesday, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
If these hours do not work for you, you can contact us at textile@ualberta.ca to make other arrangements.
You can also drop off donations during any of our events!
