Wilderness Adventure
2025. Karrats Fjord - Uvkusigssat Fjord, North Greenland. A two-week kayak expedition with Kate Binhammer and guide Piotr Damski. From Nuugaatsiaq to Uvkusigssat Fjord and as far north as time and weather permit. Forthcoming.
2023. Glacier Bay, Alaska. A twelve-day, self-guided kayak trip up the Upper West Arm, with Kate Binhammer, Kate Harris and Kate Neville.
2022. Atlin Lake, northern BC. A seven-day kayak trip on Atlin Lake with Kate Binhammer, Kate Harris and Kate Neville, plus end-of-lake hike to Llewellyn Glacier, Juneau Icefields.
2022. West Kootenays, Interior BC. Further nomadic travels with Odyssea, to remote trailheads up rugged forestry service roads and steep watersheds. Day hiking (Monica Meadows, Lyle Lakes, Gwillim Lakes), backpacking (Silver Spray), four-wheeling, kayaking (Slocan Lake).
2020. Eastern Purcells, Interior BC. Nomadic travels with Odyssea, a pop-up 4WD truck-camper, with Kate Binhammer to remote trailheads up rugged forestry service roads and steep watersheds. Day hiking, backpacking, bushwhacking, scrambling, four-wheeling.
2019. Ammassalik, East Greenland. Various self-guided explorations into the mountains near Diilerilaaq settlement on Sermilik Fjord with Kate Binhammer. Line Kristiansen rented us her house, Max Audibert shared his kayaks and dogs, Otto Nakinge and Lars Anker-Møller supplied boat transfers. Flavia Kristiansen, Elisa Kristiansen, Julius Nielsen and Kari Willy offered daily, engaging conversation.
2018. Ammassalik, East Greenland. Max Audibert and Chiho Audibert kindly hosted me in Diilerilaaq for six weeks in late winter, during which time Max and I dog-sledged from Diilerilaaq to Isortoq across the Greenland icecap. Tobias Ignatiussen boated us and Max's twelve dogs across Sermilik Fjord to Johan Petersen Fjord where we began our reconnaissance. Shahida Qureshi kindly roomed us in Isortoq, Salo Gadegaard provided fresh seal and polar bear meat, and many, many stories.
2017. Ammassalik, East Greenland. A nine-day self-guided trek with Kate Binhammer from Qingertivaq Fjord to Diilerilaaq along Sermilik Fjord. Starting from where we left off in August 2015 to complete the 100km route from Tasiilaq Fjord. Plus two weeks of day hikes from base camps near Kaarale and Knud Rasmussen Glaciers. Matt Spencely and Helen Russell (Kulusuk) outfitted us, Justus Utuaq (Kulusuk) supplied boat transfers, Gerti Ignatiussen (Diilerilaaq) and Anders Mikelssen (Kulusk) lodged us handsomely.

2013. Northeastern Banff National Park. A nine-day self-guided trek with Kate Binhammer from North Molar Pass to Pipestone Pass to Dolomite Pass, historic loop through upper Pipestone and Siffleur valleys with brief diversion to Devon Lakes at the head of the Clearwater Valley.
