The Community-Based Action Research and Evaluation (CARE) Lab is based out of the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta. Our research team is composed of individuals from Educational Psychology, including Counselling Psychology and School and Clinical Child Psychology, and the School of Public Health. As our name suggests, our work is centered around community-based action research and evaluation. Fun fact: all photos included on our website were taken by research participants in various community-based projects!

To date, we have partnered with community agencies including Terra Centre, Boyle Street Education Centre, CHEW Project, iHuman Youth Society, Canada FASD Research Network, Northwest Central Alberta FASD Network, Maskwacis Health Services, and the Children and Youth in Care Mentoring Advisory Committee

We have a shared passion for co-creating knowledge that has the potential for social change.
