The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Seminar is a weekly meeting hosted by the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii) where students, developers, and professors in the AI field share their current research, and has been a tradition in the Department of Computing Science for over 25 years. Presenters include speakers from the University of Alberta, local industry, and other institutions from across Canada and abroad.
Topics cover a wide range of specializations, from foundational theoretical work to innovative applications of AI techniques to new fields and problems, with applications to agriculture, bioinformatics, biology, climate change, cognitive science, communications, control engineering, defense, drug discovery, economics, environment, games, healthcare, law enforcement, linguistics, management, medicine, natural resource exploration, psychiatry, operations research, and more.
