The Working Memory and Emotion (WME) study is examining the relationship between emotional facial expressions and working memory performance for 6-year-old children.

This study uses a game-like memory task to assess whether different emotional facial expressions, present as task distractors, impact working memory accuracy and response time.

This is a virtual study, taking place over Zoom.

This study is being run by Olivia Tiessen, supervised by Dr. Sandra Wiebe, and their research team with the Alberta Brain and Cognitive Development Lab. To learn more about the lab's research, click HERE. Research data will be used for completion of an undergraduate honors thesis.
