The National Pan-Hellenic Council is home to our International Greek Lettered Organizations. Founded on the campus of Howard University in 1930, NPHC exists as the unifying body of the Greek organizations known as the "Divine 9."
These chapters strive to continue to build upon the rich traditions and history of their founders.
Many influential figures in world history proudly call NPHC their home. Many of the best and brightest in the fields of science, politics and social justice have "crossed the burning sands" and joined one of these illustrious organizations.
Each organization is unique, so you can find the right organization for you!
The NPHC organizations pride themselves on maintaining high academic standards. On UAH's campus, the Fall 2020 average GPA for the NPHC organizations was a 3.23.
Giving back to the community is at the core of what NPHC stands for. Each organization fosters relationships with various community partners such as Soles4Souls, the Downtown Rescue Mission, & March of Dimes.
NPHC organizations foster brotherhood/sisterhood by being inclusive of people of all backgrounds, bonding through chapter retreats, and working together on various service projects.
