An infusion of nature, Mexican culture, religious icons and a dash of surrealism, Maria Bucio’s BFA exit show “Renacimiento” is currently on display in the UAH Salmon Library Gallery. Rich with both strong feminist overtones and subtle humor, Bucio’s magical realism work, mixes hints of "magic" or out of this world elements with realism. Her vividly colored paintings, often self-portraits, include tiny subtle details that create unexpected connections between life and spirituality. Work includes paintings, mixed media, prints and photos.

Exhibit is on view till March 5th.
