Bio: Dr. Salman is the founder of the RCIS lab at UAH. He joined the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at UAH in the Fall of 2018. Prior to joining UAH, he was a Research Associate in the Civil Engineering Department at Case Western Reserve University from 2016 to 2018. He was also a Research and Teaching Assistant at Michigan Tech from 2013 to 2016. His research interests include resilient and sustainable civil infrastructure systems, multi-hazard analysis, structural reliability, risk assessment and management, risk-based & multi-criteria decision making, and infrastructure maintenance. Dr. Salman is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), and the American Concrete Institute (ACI). He is a member of the ASCE Multihazard Mitigation Committee.
