Our Annual Tournament

Typically hosted the first weekend of April. Over 100 competitors across 3 events compete in Epee and Foil bouts! 

Waivers to Sign

There are THREE different waivers below, of which a participant will only need to fill out TWO.

The first one all competitors must sign (This is the one that asks for the tournament name etc.)

If you are a minor (under the age of 17) you must sign the third waiver (Titled: Waiver, Release, and Indemnification Agreement for
Use of University Fitness Center (Minor Child))

All others (competitors and spectators) must sign the second waiver (Titled: Waiver, Release, and Indemnification Agreement for
Use of University Fitness Center)

 Please bring them pre-filled out to the venue, or email them to us with the subject line "Rocket City Open 2024 - Signed Waiver." 

Spectators MUST sign the University Fitness Center Waiver.

Equipment Check

Along with of course checking equipment the day of the event we will be also checking it the night before (April 5th) in the Charger Union Lobby (CGU). You can find the building by following the link to the campus map or Google Maps. We will be checking masks, gloves, and body cords from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Entrance:

Please do not use the front entrance. The side entrance will be open and our greeter will direct you to check in. 


Parking:

You are only allowed to park in the area outlined in blue in the University Fitness Center. Do NOT park in the parking garage or other areas.

Food:

Dunkin' Donuts opens at 9am in the Charger Union (CGU). Other campus food options will open later in the day. You can view which options are available by visiting: https://uah.sodexomyway.com/dining-near-me/open-now


Venue:

Please do not go to other places in the Fitness Center other than where we are fencing and the restrooms. This includes the elevated track above the courts.
