Journal - Keep a journal of what you are doing each day! Draw the pictures and ask an adult to help you write your words.
Bring your journal to school when we return to share with your teachers and friends!
Have someone read a book to you! Draw a picture of your favorite part. Have someone write your words explaining your favorite part. Make it extra fun and build a "Reading Fort" where you can go to read each day!
Bring your pictures back to school with you and share your favorite books! Have someone write the Title and Author of the book, so we can try to find it in our classroom library and share with everyone when we return.
Make your name! See how many things you can use around the house to make the letters in your name (or letters in your family members names). Socks, blocks, blankets, spaghetti, playdough! The possibilities are endless!
Share a picture of what you used with your teacher! See how many different things you can come up with!
Do something physical! Go outside and play in the yard, create an obstacle course inside, dance around the house!
You can draw about it, send me a picture with the help of an adult or have an adult write me a note!
Make a meal or snack together! Have fun counting, measuring, and just spending some quality time in the kitchen together.
Draw a picture of what you made and have an adult write down in your words how you made it. Have them write down exactly what you say! *Variation: Tell your child we are going to make ____ (insert meal idea) for supper. Ask them to tell you how to make that meal. (You are going to want to write down their responses! I have done this with classes before and they always come up with the most interesting recipes!)

Act of Kindness! Draw a picture/have an adult help you write a note to a family member, friend, or someone in assisted living/nursing home. If you want to send a note to your teacher...have your parent contact them for an address!

How many shoes do you have? How many tractors? How many dolls? Who has more shoes in your house? Do you have more socks or more shoes?

Be a meteorologist
Tell someone in your house about the weather. Is it cold, hot, sunny, cloudy, snowy? Draw a picture to repressent the weather. Watch a real weather broadcast to give you ideas. Have a parent video tape you if have the ability.
Shape Hunt
What can you find in your house that is a square, triangle, circle, rectangle? How many of each shape can you find? What other shapes can you find in your house?
