Evaluation & User testing

Evaluation Hypothesis:

There is a significant portion of Spotify users that would like to use Pro features that allow more control over the content they see.

Our main study objectives:

• Understand whether the interface is easy to navigate or not.

• See if Tuner is something the users would potentially benefit from

• understand the negative aspects, if any, of the current prototype and design.

Number of participants: 36

Study design:

Within subject design. All users were Spotify users.

Half were lead users who were quite familiar with the recommendation system in Spotify.

The other half, our control group, consisted of participants who were average Spotify users.

Feedback: Both qualitative and quantitative. Done through the survey
