Is the physical therapy application more helpful than what the user currently implements to remember their physical therapy exercises and complete them?
One of the participants in our post-test stated that they prefer the application "Keep" because it offers more functions and has preset workouts ready for the user to do.
Three participants stated that they preferred to exercise from memory and did not have many exercises to remember and would keep track of the exercises on paper or with a notes mobile application.
Another participant stated that because of their lack of experience and interest in web or mobile applications, they would not prefer the application to remember exercises and to complete them.
Would remote group physical therapy sessions give users a greater sense of community and support compared to their typical physical therapy routine?
Group physical therapy sessions through web conference was a popular use case where four out of six of the participants would enjoy using consistently, especially during quarantine.
The participant who has done remote exercise before preferred our application for registering and viewing their group physical therapy sessions, but had trouble creating one because they have never done this before. For the final product of this project, it would be ideal to have web conferencing built into the application.
The two participants who did not prefer group physical therapy preferred to exercise alone. One of these participants also had privacy concerns regarding who could join a group physical therapy session.
What features do users like the most or think is more of a hindrance than a benefit to them?
Most of the users thought that the group physical therapy sessions and the forum would be very beneficial for people with injuries or physical disabilities to have a community to motivate one another.
The checkbox placement when viewing the individual physical therapy sessions they created confused some three users, but they still wanted to include this feature. Having an option to activate/deactivate checkboxes or developing a 'do session' page for user created sessions would be the best solution.
Participants did not like the small variety of exercises in the task they were required to do an individual physical therapy session. This can be easily improved in the final product. One of the users did not like the upload exercises image function, and did not see a use for it.
All of the participants enjoyed the simplicity of the web application, and thought that it made the website easier to navigate compared to the other web applications they may have used for exercise or physical therapy (Mindbody, Keep, Facebook Live).
Is there anything the users wish they could do that is not available to them in the application?
Two of the participants wish that there were different "levels" of users, such as a volunteer coach who would monitor group physical therapy sessions and make sure participants are doing their exercises properly and not straining themselves too much.
Three of the participants also wished there were full physical therapy sessions created for the user to do for injury prevention.
