Results show climate watch helps users feel more confident in identifying climate change misinformation
All 8 participants that used the extension answered 'yes' to our question asking if the article contained misinformation
The participants that did not use the extension had 5/8 answer 'not sure' and only 3/8 answer 'yes' to the same question
Our team was very satisfied to see these results as it confirmed our hypothesis and the effectiveness of our extension.
First step in combating climate change is education
Systems like our extension can be put in place to help with that
Users also expressed that it was a relief to have links to reliable sources as well as the ability to customize their experience.
