Laviosier conducted numerous different expeirments within this lifetime. However, one of his most famous experiments were those that involved combustion. There is no single combustion experiment that Laviosier conducted; rather, Laviosier performed a series of experiments, including those that involved burning glass to burn tin foil and experimenting with phosphorus and sulfur. Through these experiments, Laviosier was able to demonstrate the Law of the Conservation of Mass where there is an equal quantity of matter both before and after the reaction.
In current day research, repeatability, reproducibility, and replicability are highly emphasized characteristiscs of a research experiment.

Antoine Laviosier's experiments not only led to new discoveries, but also laid the foundation for modern scientfiic methodology. Laviosier's rigorous experiments pioneered the way for evidence-based research and reproducibility, characteristics and principles that continue to be used and found in current research. This includes fields beyond just chemistry, such as those in the technological fields and data science.
