Interview
We conducted an interview with a Venezuelan family on October 24th, 2023. The interview was an hour long and took place at Carl Von Linne Elementary School, at 3221 N Sacramento Ave, Chicago. We conducted the interview with the help of a translator, and received valuable information regarding the Venezuelan immigration process, experiences with CPS, and their further aspirations regarding schooling, personal goals, and professional pursuits. In addition to the interview we conducted with the recently arrived Venezuelan family, we have used interview data gathered by our student peers to inform our recommendations. The interview data pertaining to Gabriel Parra, principle of Carl Von Linne Elementary School, was collected by our peers.
